Kim Couture (1-1) wife of Randy "The Natural Couture" has dropped out of her fight with MMA female fighter Miesha Tate (5-1). The fight was suppose to have taken place at SHO MMA: Strikeforce Challengers event at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. on Friday, May 15. According to Meisha "Sugar Free" Tates Myspace page Kim was pulling out of the fight because of marital problems with Randy "So Kim 'Sugar Free' Couture is pulling out of the fight supposedly cuz her and Randy are getting a divorce...........I'm so pissed right now......Sugar Free my ass!!".
Meisha Tate later removed the Myspace posting and issued this apology "I forget how famous they are and didn't even think how that might [affect] them and their personal life, which was immature," Tate wrote in a subsequent bulletin. "[I] stress my apology to them and who ever else it may concern".
No other reason was given for Kim Couture's withdrawal from the inagural SHO MMA event set to air live on Showtime. Strikeforce officials have said that they are looking for a replacement to fight Miesha Tate in Kim's absence.
