Rampage/Jardine- Rampage defeated Keith Jardine in the main event of UFC 96. He also, earned a title shot against current LHW champion Rashad Evans and a $60,000 bonus for fight of the night.
Carwin/Gonzaga- Shane Carwin stunned many by stopping UFC veteran Gabriel Gonzaga in the first round. Putting the UFC Heavyweight division on notice.
Hamill/Munoz- Fighting in front of his home state fans Matt "The Hammer" Hamill KO'd Mark Munoz with a highlight reel high kick, that left Munoz on the canvas for several minutes. Munoz walked off on his own power but was put in a neck brace for precautionary reasons.
Grove/Day- Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove puts back to back wins together defeating Canadian Fighter Jason Day.
Vera/Patt- Vera desperately needed a win and got one, by defeating UFC newcomer Michael Patt.
Maynard/Miller- Gray Maynard's stand up looked very impressive in his win over the very tough Jim Miller.
Brown/Sell- Matt Brown dominated fellow TUF alumni Pete Sell twice, knocking Sell down with strikes first. The ref began to stop the fight, then after some confusion told Brown to continue. Brown then, finished Sell off with ground and pound.
