At UFC 96 the well known Brandon Vera will not be the only Filipino fighter trying to make an impact on the UFC's talented Light heavyweight division. Up and comer Mark Munoz (5-0) will be taking on UFC veteran and TUF 3 competitor Matt "The Hammer" Hamill (5-2). Munoz is making the transition from the now defunct WEC Light heavyweight division and will be getting the toughest test of his career against Hamill who has UFC wins over Tim Boetsch and Reese Andy and lost a controversial split decision to Michael "The Count" Bisping.
