Enter "The Dragon"; Rampage out with injury, Lyoto Machida in to fight Rashad Evans at UFC 98

Rampage Jackson won't be ready in time for his scheduled title shot against Rashad Evans at UFC 98 Yahoo's Kevin Iole reported that Jackson has a torn ligament in his jaw and a hyper extended elbow. Jackson would have fought three times in five months had he fought Rashad at UFC 98 which takes place in Las Vegas, NV on May 23.

Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida (14-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) has agreed to replace the injured Jackson and face current Light heavyweight champ and TUF 2 winner Rahad Evans in order to get his long awaited title shot. Many fans, had been arguing that Machida, who is undefeated deserved the title shot before Rampage, now those fans will get their wish. The winner of Evans/Machida will face off against Jackson later in the year.
